Phil Ivey Launches IveyPoker.com to Teach the World Poker
Phil Ivey, a renowned poker player, has launched a new website, IveyPoker.com, with the goal of teaching the world how to play poker better. In April 2011, Phil Ivey promised to teach the world how to win at poker. He announced a contest for a logo design on MycroBurst with a $600 prize. However, his social media activities and poker engagements were interrupted by the 'Black Friday' event, which led to a hiatus in his online presence.
Phil Ivey returned to social media and poker activities in November 2011. He gave his first interview in July 2012 and resumed tweeting, although many still question the authenticity of his social media accounts. Recently, Phil Ivey opened IveyPoker.com, a platform dedicated to teaching people how to play poker better. The site offers free video lessons and aims to turn players into winning ones.
During an interview, Phil Ivey mentioned Greg Merson as his favorite to win the final table, praising his playing style and ability to handle pressure. He also commended Jake Balsiger's playing style, noting his patience and strategic bleffing. Reflecting on his own experience at the final table in 2009, Ivey described the energy in the room as shocking and unprecedented. He advised final table players to think carefully and not rush decisions, emphasizing the importance of living in the moment and making optimal choices.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
