Phil Hellmuth Sparks Controversy at WSOP: Key Moments and Reactions

Phil Hellmuth recently caused a stir in the poker community by selling 30% of his shares in the WSOP #2 tournament at a coefficient of 1.8. This move drew criticism from Scott Seiver, who called it a scam and advised victims to contact the Securities Commission. Hellmuth, however, defended his actions, stating that he has the highest ROI in poker history.

Steffen Sontheimer, another notable figure, missed the money bubble in the Super High Roller Bowl but finished 9th. Daniel Negreanu, who received $3 million for his second place in the Super High Roller Bowl, left generous tips, noting that the difference in skill levels in high rollers has diminished, making tipping less necessary.

Vanessa Selbst and Phil Galfond discussed the current state of poker and planned a team tournament for the summer. The Vegas Golden Knights, despite losing to Washington in the Stanley Cup Finals, gained a large fan base. Eric Seidel attended a Stanley Cup Finals match dressed as Elvis, and Alexander Ovechkin carried the Stanley Cup through the lobby of the MGM Grand casino. Douglas Polk, meanwhile, enjoyed the Stanley Cup Finals, tried stand-up comedy, and admired the views at the Rio casino.
