PCA Bahamas Tournament Moves to New Location, Portuguese Player Wins
The PCA tournament series, held annually in the Bahamas, has moved to a new location. This year, a Portuguese player emerged as the champion.
The PCA tournament series on the Bahamas has been held since 2004 and was once considered one of the most prestigious. In 2009, Puria Nazari won $3 million, but there were questions about the payout structure. In 2017, the total prize pool was $3,376,712, and Christian Harder won $430,000. In 2019, the series moved to a new hotel complex, Baha Mar, and had 889 entries.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
