Partypoker Kicks Off WPT Online Championship with $100 Million Prize Pool
Partypoker has launched an exciting new online poker series, the WPT Online Championship, which runs from July 17 to September 9, 2020. This series features a total prize pool of $100 million across various tournaments, freerolls, and leaderboards.
Series Overview
The WPT Online Championship includes 12 Championship tournaments, each with different formats and buy-ins. The main event has a buy-in of $10,300 with a $10 million guarantee. Additionally, there are Mini and Micro versions of the main event with buy-ins of $1,050 and $109, respectively, and guarantees of $5 million and $1 million.
Charity Tournament
The series also includes a charity tournament, Shooting Stars, with a $500,000 guarantee and a $1,100 buy-in. All rake from this tournament will go to the 1 Day Sooner organization, which is working on developing a vaccine for COVID-19.
