Partypoker Expands Globally with New Partnerships and Controversial Events
Partypoker continues its global expansion with significant developments and controversies. The poker giant has signed a 4-year agreement with World Poker Tour (WPT) to host seven joint series in Canada and Europe. The first of these events is scheduled for October in Montreal, with additional stops planned for Sochi in winter and England in April.
In addition to its live events, partypoker has also made strides in the online poker world. The company has signed a contract with legendary Russian high roller Timofey Kuznetsov, known as Trueteller. Kuznetsov will consult on software, game ecology, schedule, and mix-games, bringing his extensive experience to the table.
Recent online series have seen impressive performances from various players. Michael Chi Jang, under the nickname mczhang, made it to the final tables of several high-stakes tournaments during the WCOOP series. Steve O’Dwyer secured a significant win in a WCOOP tournament with a $2,100 buy-in, marking his largest online cash prize. Linus Lelliger also had a strong showing, securing 3rd place in the main WCOOP tournament and 1st in a $25k high roller event. Adrenalin710 won the overall WCOOP leaderboard, earning a Platinum Pass to the Bahamas and cash prizes. Lex Veldhuis finished 58th in the main WCOOP tournament, with an impressive 34,000 viewers watching his stream.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
