PartyPoker and bwin users forced to choose one account due to legal changes

PartyPoker and bwin users have been notified that they must close one account due to new legal requirements. The law obliges operators to have a single user account, so players cannot have accounts in both PartyPoker and bwin.

Players with accounts in both PartyPoker.es and bwin.es found one of their accounts blocked. Bwin.party initially used a criterion of account usage, but players with accounts in both brands can choose which one to keep active.

Players received an email notifying them of the closure of one of their accounts. The email informs players that they can choose to keep their PartyPoker.es account open and close their bwin.es account by contacting the company.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
