Nikita Bodiakovsky, a Belarusian high-stakes regular, finished as the runner-up in the WSOP Short Deck NLH Championship online tournament. Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb from Mexico won the championship.
The heads-up match lasted 4.5 hours and was very tense, with straights playing a crucial role in many hands. At one point, Bodiakovsky had a significant chip lead, with 32.6 million chips against Gottlieb's 6.4 million. However, Gottlieb won the final hand with a straight against Bodiakovsky's set of sixes.
Nikita Bodiakovsky is the best tournament player from Belarus and holds the 13th position in the global All Time Money List with live event winnings of $28.5 million. Despite his strong performance, he was unable to secure the championship title.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
