PokerStars and Other Rooms Introduce Exciting New Features and Promotions

PokerStars has officially launched Power Up, a new poker variant that combines traditional poker with online games. The game features three players at a table with buy-ins of $1, $3, $7, or $15. Players can use special abilities like seeing the top card of the deck or replacing their cards.

PokerStars has also changed the names of its Sunday Big and Hot tournaments to Bigger and Hotter, respectively. New tournaments include a $2,100 High Roller on Sundays, daily $530 High Roller tournaments, and a 3-Max Progressive KO Zoom with varying buy-ins. The Sunday Super-Sized tournament now has a reduced buy-in of $530 and offers bounties for knocking out other players. Additionally, the schedules for Monday 6-Max, Fast Friday, and Omaha tournaments have been updated.

PokerDom is giving away 36 iPhone X devices to cash game players who collect full houses and four of a kind with pocket tens. Players can earn points for these hands and compete in weekly leaderboards for a chance to win. Lotos Poker offers a new bonus on the first deposit up to $200 with the promo code IVAN, and a freeroll with a $1,111 guarantee for new players. BetSafe Poker now allows players to earn GTP points, participate in monthly rake races, and receive up to 30% rakeback. 888poker has introduced new regular tournaments called The Great 8 and The Starfish with varying buy-ins and guarantees. Skrill will change its fees for internal transfers between users starting from December 14, 2017.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
