Mikhail Shalamov's Bahamas Adventure: PokerStars Championship and More

The PokerStars Players NL Hold'em Championship will kick off the PCA 2019 with a $25,000 buy-in and no rake, adding $9 million to the prize pool, including $1 million for the winner. The Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas, is the venue for this prestigious event, featuring 2,317 rooms, 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges, 11 pools, and 8 kilometers of white sand beaches.

The Atlantis resort includes the world's largest open-air marine habitat, where visitors can swim with dolphins, sea lions, and sharks. Mikhail Shalamov, also known as Mishe Inner, has visited the Bahamas multiple times and shares his experiences and tips for the PCA. Russian players do not need a visa to enter the Bahamas, and the national currency is the Bahamian dollar, which is pegged to the US dollar at a 1:1 ratio.

Mikhail Shalamov recommends staying at the Atlantis resort for convenience and luxury, noting that other nearby hotels might be cheaper but less convenient. His top three restaurants in the Bahamas are Martinique, local steakhouses, and local buffets. For activities outside of poker, Shalamov suggests visiting the Atlantis water park, swimming with dolphins, playing basketball, and enjoying spa services.
