Mike Matusow Criticizes WSOP Main Event Day 2 Late Registration
Mike Matusow, known as "The Mouth" in the poker community, has voiced his displeasure with the ability to register for the WSOP Main Event on Day 2. Matusow has been critical of this policy for some time, and his recent comments have sparked debate among poker players. Some players agree with Matusow, arguing that allowing late registration on Day 2 gives players an unfair advantage by letting them skip the grind of Day 1. Others disagree, stating that entering with 60 big blinds among the survivors of Day 1 isn't advantageous at all.
Matusow's followers have suggested that if Day 2 entry provides an edge over the competition, he should take advantage of it himself. Despite the criticism, Matusow has shown some grace by amending his previous tweet and clarifying his late registration opinion with regard to the Main Event.
This isn't the first time Matusow has expressed his distaste for Day 2 late registration. In fact, he has been voicing his opinions on the matter for nearly two years. Whether his criticism will impact his chances of being inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame remains to be seen.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
