Poker Pro Mike Gorodinsky's Bellagio Security Box Mystery Remains Unsolved

Poker player Mike Gorodinsky discovered his security box at the Bellagio empty after not using it for a year. Gorodinsky had not accessed his security box since June 28, 2022. He had been “foolishly optimistic” about getting his money back, estimating the amount in the box was between $45,000 and $100,000.

The Bellagio security team confirmed Gorodinsky was the only person who accessed the box in the previous year. Despite this confirmation, Gorodinsky believes there are only two realistic possibilities: the box was drilled because it had been so long since anyone touched it and the money was either stolen or misplaced, or it was handed to another player and they emptied it.

Gorodinsky won the 2023 WSOP Event #54: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. for $422,747, showing that his summer wasn't a complete loss. However, he feels there is no point in filing a police report or taking action in the courts due to the amount of money and the potential legal fees.
