Micromillions Dominates July MTT Scene: PokerStars Sees Traffic Boost
The Micromillions series, previously held quarterly, became an annual event in 2015. PokerStars decided to make the Micromillions series annual to boost interest after noticing a significant drop in participation between 2014 and 2015. Despite a slight reduction in buy-ins, the overall prize pool and rake for Micromillions remained stable, with an increase in unique players and entries.
PokerStars' traffic increased by 8.75% in July compared to June, with nearly half of this increase attributed to Micromillions. Among the top 50 grinders on PokerStars in July, about 40% were Brazilian. The top grinders on PokerStars in July included losos007 from the Czech Republic and Sifosis from Denmark. Alan Bake played a record 2,610 MTTs on PokerStars in July, but did not secure the top spot.
The top grinders on Partypoker in July included Nicholas_Brody, atlasshrugged, and bossamtisch1. The top grinders on 888 in July included ZeroNineee, MonteKristo3, and penfolds6. The top grinders on the Winning Poker Network in July included frankandtheboys, swanopoly, and CamIsTheMan.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
