Michael Mizrahi Secures Fifth WSOP Bracelet in Thrilling Stud Hi-Lo Final
The final table of the #27 Stud Hi-Lo event started with six players, with an average age of 56 years. Michael Mizrahi started with 1,355,000 chips, while Michael Sopko had 1,184,000, Robert Gray 1,032,000, Elias Hurani 425,000, Jose Pas-Gutierrez 350,000, and Jan Stein 264,000.
Jose Pas-Gutierrez, an engineer from Bolivia, doubled his opponent Jan Stein with 2x 3x 4x against Ax Jx Jx. Michael Mizrahi won a hand with 6s Qd 9h against an opponent's pair of twos with a Qx kicker. Mizrahi used a limping strategy with 9c Th 8d and later with Qc Th 8h, taking advantage of the rules to avoid a raise from the bring-in player.
Mizrahi increased his stack by almost 50% with 4s 5s 6s against opponents who caught ladies on the fourth street. However, he lost a significant portion of his stack after a series of unlucky hands, including one where he was outdrawn by a flush on the river. Mizrahi made a bold steal with Th 8h 5c against Sopko's 2x 3x 8x, ultimately winning with a pair of fives and 6-8 low.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
