Matt Berkey's Chip Count Plummets in Poker After Dark Episode
Matt Berkey, known as berkey11, saw his chips drop from $10k to $5k during a recent Poker After Dark episode. The game was a $50/$100 ($100 Ante) No-Limit Hold'em Cash Game with a $10,000 Buy-In.
Berkey was joined by some of the poker world's top players: Sam Soverel, James Romero, Jake Daniels, and Lynne Ji. Despite starting the episode $5k in the hole, Berkey initially performed well, increasing his stack to $5.5k. However, his luck took a turn for the worse when James Romero won a $6500 pot against him with a king and jack.
Berkey's struggles continued as he conceded $2k to Sam Soverel due to a bluff. Lynne Ji also had a successful run, with her stack totaling around $16k after winning a sizable pot against Jake Daniels. Jake Daniels finished the game as the top player by betting Sam Soverel out of contention.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
