Czech Poker Pro Martin Staszko Makes History at WSOP
Martin Staszko, a 35-year-old Czech poker player, has reached the final table of the WSOP Main Event. He started playing poker just 4 years ago after watching EPT on TV. His best achievement before WSOP was 11th place in the main EPT tournament in Deauville in 2010.
Staszko started the final table with a stack of 40,175,000, the largest stack among the finalists. His online poker nickname is filfedra.
Staszko's journey to the final table was not easy. He had to overcome several challenges, including a critical hand against Hoa Nguyen, where he eliminated Nguyen and secured his spot in the final table. Despite the challenges, Staszko remains a favorite to win the tournament, with bookmakers offering odds of 5.0 for his victory.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
