22-Year-Old Lucas Jumalon Wins 2026 WSOP Main Event

Lucas Jumalon, a 22-year-old from Spokane, Washington, made history by winning the 2026 World Series of Poker $10,000 no-limit hold’em main event. He secured the $10 million first-place prize and the oversized WSOP main event bracelet.

Jumalon's victory was not without its challenges. His heads-up match with 40-year-old Lauri Saaskilahti of Finland featured several wild twists and turns. Saaskilahti, who works as the head of sales for a packing company, managed a crucial double-up at one point, but a hero call gone wrong ultimately led to his defeat. He settled for $6 million and second place.

Jumalon's win makes him the second-youngest WSOP main event champion in history, just a few months older than Joe Cada, who won in 2009. He is also the first main event champion in their twenties to win since Scott Blumstein in 2017. Despite his young age, Jumalon plans to celebrate his win modestly, stating that he will not be attending the Rhino and will instead enjoy dinner with family and friends.
