Lodge Poker Club Raided: All Accounts Frozen, Investigation Ongoing

The Lodge poker club in Texas was raided by authorities on Tuesday morning. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) conducted the raid and seized property from the Lodge poker club as part of an investigation into money laundering and illegal gambling.

Daeg Polk, one of the main shareholders of Lodge, assured that all players will receive their money once the investigation is over. The Lodge poker club's bank accounts were frozen during the investigation.

The investigation into the Lodge poker club began in June 2024, initially focusing on a smaller club before shifting to Lodge. The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests made yet.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
