Lex Veldhuis Finds Legal Ways to Stream PokerStars from Netherlands

PokerStars has decided to leave the Netherlands market starting from November 1st due to new gambling regulations. This decision was made in response to the new laws regulating gambling in the Netherlands. As a result, PokerStars is exiting the Dutch gambling market to return on a legal basis.

Top poker streamers from the Netherlands, including Lex Veldhuis, now face challenges in their professional activities. Lex Veldhuis, a well-known Dutch player and PokerStars ambassador, has found legal workarounds to continue streaming on PokerStars while in his home country. He announced this on his Twitter, stating, "I have been working around the clock to find a solution and have found several legal options that seem to work for both my ability to stream poker and my family situation. I will keep you updated, but I am very optimistic! Thank you for your support!"

Veldhuis has not yet specified the exact methods he will use, but he has promised to return to streaming soon.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
