LeggoPoker Cuts Down on Instructional Videos Due to Quality Concerns
LeggoPoker has informed its clients that the number of instructional videos (VODs) will be reduced due to quality concerns. The decision comes after the site continued to operate normally following the 'Black Friday' incident, but the authors can no longer maintain the same volume of production without compromising quality.
Aaaron 'aejones' Jones, the director of LeggoPoker, explained the situation in his blog. He mentioned that the compensation for supporting an educational site and producing videos comes in various forms. One of the benefits is the opportunity to make friends among poker professionals. Another advantage is that working on an educational site is similar to having a 'real job' for friends in the real world. Creating poker videos is also a great way to keep one's game at a high level, as it requires constant responsibility for one's actions.
Jones noted that some people feel obligated to give back to the poker community. He also highlighted that the main problem in the poker education market is the difference between the real value of information and what people are willing to pay for it. The market is inefficient, with people paying varying amounts for different types of poker education, from videos to individual lessons and books.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
