Evacuation from Kharkiv

Latiks described the evacuation train as prioritizing children, women, and the elderly, with men standing if there were no seats available. He felt a sense of calm and safety upon arriving in Poltava, noting the clean air and lack of explosions. Life in Poltava seemed normal, with shops, pharmacies, and other establishments open and functioning.

Parents' Decision to Stay

Latiks' parents initially refused to evacuate from Kharkiv despite his insistence, fearing to leave their home and comfortable life. He is now staying with his grandmother in Poltava and playing poker to raise money for Ukraine.
