Las Vegas Gambler Accused of Illegal Sports Betting and Money Laundering Released Without Bail
William West Roberts, a Las Vegas man, was indicted by a grand jury on multiple charges including running an illegal gambling business and money laundering. Roberts was released without bail after a Clark County judge's decision on September 30, 2026.
Prosecutors allege that Roberts used EZWIN247.com, a website based in Costa Rica, as a bookmaker without a gaming license in Nevada. Roberts is accused of transferring money through Wild Bill Consulting and Ace’s Family Fitness to place sports bets in person at Caesars Palace Race and Sportsbook.
A previous case against Roberts was dismissed in August 2026.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
