Las Vegas Casinos' Revenue Drops 45.5% Post-Quarantine
Las Vegas casinos reopened after the easing of quarantine restrictions. However, new rules and reduced capacity led to a significant drop in revenue. In June 2020, Nevada's casino revenue was $566 million, a 45.5% decrease from June 2019.
Las Vegas Strip casinos earned $238.3 million in June 2020. New rules require casinos to operate at 50% capacity and mandate mask-wearing for all visitors. North and South Lake Tahoe saw a smaller decline in casino revenue, around 20%, due to local patronage.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
