Kirill Rodionov Shares Insights from Day 2 of the Poker Tournament
Kirill Rodionov started the second day of the tournament with a good stack and was in the group of leaders. He mentioned that he was able to buy necessary cards at the right moments and that his opponents sometimes made mistakes, which helped him build a good stack.
Rodionov praised Allen Kessler's playing style, noting that he played well but did not make it to the prizes. He also criticized Elezra's play, stating that while Elezra made serious mistakes, he also showed some understanding of the game and had been trained in offline strategies.
Rodionov highlighted Ofer Mor's (John Frouer) playing style, describing him as one of the top regulars. He also noted that the tournament structure allowed strong players to build large stacks early on, making the tournament quite dense by the middle with fewer obvious fish. Rodionov had a stack of 118,000 chips with big bets at 8k/16k, making one full round of betting cost 64,000 chips. He mentioned that the average stack at the end of the tournament was around 11-12 big bets and that Scott Byron had the shortest stack at the table with 40,000 chips and could be eliminated in one hand.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
