Kent County Woman Wins $1 Million from Michigan Lottery
A Kent County woman won $1,000,000 from the Michigan Lottery’s $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier instant game. The winning ticket was purchased at Aikan Liquor at 1640, 44th Street Southeast in Kentwood. The woman opted for a one-off lump sum payment of $693,000.
The $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier instant game has paid out more than $16,000,000 since it launched in February 2026.
The woman, who frequently plays the lottery, said she was a frequent lottery player and tended to buy her tickets at different locations. On that fateful day she purchased the winning ticket, she recounted: 'I scratched my $1,000,000 Bonus Scratch Multiplier ticket when I got home from the store, and when I saw I’d won $1 million, I screamed so loud that I scared my son.'
