YouTube Star Katherine 'catrific' Valdez Seated in Wrong Poker Tournament

Katherine 'catrific' Valdez, a popular YouTube blogger with over a million subscribers across her social media platforms, found herself in an unusual situation during a recent poker tournament. Valdez registered for a $400 side event at the WSOP Circuit in Las Vegas but was seated in a $1,700 main event due to a cashier and dealer's error.

Despite the mix-up, Valdez managed to triple her starting stack and even eliminate one of her opponents before the error was discovered. A floor manager approached her and, according to Valdez, in a rude manner, asked her to leave the tournament. She was allowed to join the side event she initially registered for, but her stack was almost depleted by that point.

Valdez uploaded an emotional video about the incident on her YouTube channel, but it was later removed, possibly due to the backlash from the poker community. Bill Perkins, a member of Valdez's streaming team, supported the tournament director's actions and stated that the behavior was irrelevant. WSOP representatives clarified that players cannot win a tournament they were not registered for, regardless of whose fault the error was.
