Ex-Poker Pro Justin Smith Producing Film on Doyle Brunson
Justin Smith, known as BoostedJ, was a regular in high-stakes poker tournaments and played in the first $1,000,000 tournament. Smith became friends with Larry Flynt and played in his legendary $4k/$8k 7-card stud game.
Justin Smith finished 3rd in the 2009 WPT Championship and lost in the heads-up in 2010. Smith broke his leg celebrating an all-in win at a WPT Final Table but continued playing.
Smith was involved in an FBI case about underground gambling in 2013. Justin Smith is now a producer in Hollywood and is working on a film about Doyle Brunson. Smith met with Doyle Brunson and Ted Field to discuss the film project. The film will have a new script, not based on Doyle Brunson's autobiography.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
