Justin Bonomo Reclaims Top Spot as Most Profitable Tournament Poker Player
Justin Bonomo has reclaimed the title of the most profitable tournament poker player in the world. The American poker player was the most profitable tournament poker player in 2018 and 2019 according to Hendonmob. However, his colleague from the USA, Brin Kenney, soon surpassed Justin's record and took the title.
Justin Bonomo won the Five Diamond World Poker Classic tournament with a buy-in of $103,000 and a prize pool of $1,900,000. Brin Kenney did not make it to the prizes, while Justin Bonomo won and earned $928,200. Thus, Justin Bonomo reclaimed the title of the most profitable tournament poker player by surpassing Brin Kenney in total prize winnings.
In the final hand of the tournament, Brin Kenney lost his stack to Justin Bonomo. Jason Koon finished as the runner-up, earning $677,800. Dan Smith was also in the top three, winning $304,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
