WSOP Champion Jonathan Duhamel Accused of Multiple Sexual Assaults
Jonathan Duhamel, the 2010 WSOP Main Event champion, is accused of multiple sexual assaults. A user named Rightrhyme accused Jonathan Duhamel of sexual assault on Twitter. She stated that she had evidence and was willing to share it. Several poker professionals were aware of the accusations but remained silent.
Shaun Deeb revealed that he knew about the accusations against Jonathan Duhamel. He mentioned that one of the victims had shared her story with him and asked him not to pursue the matter. However, when the Global Poker League was announced, and Duhamel was considered for a captaincy role, Deeb contacted Alex Dreyfus, the CEO of GPI and organizer of GPL, about the accusations. Dreyfus was already aware of the allegations but allowed Duhamel to participate in the league.
Lina Olofsson, a journalist and blogger, confirmed the accusations against Jonathan Duhamel and the threats she received from him. She also mentioned that there were attempts to write about the issue, but journalists were silenced through intimidation. PokerStars terminated their contract with Jonathan Duhamel in 2015 without publicly disclosing the reasons. Despite the allegations, Duhamel remains a renowned poker professional from Canada with over $18 million in live earnings, including 3 WSOP bracelets, 2 WPT trophies, 2 PCA wins, an EPT champion cup, and a partypoker MILLION title.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
