Johnny Lodden's Million-Dollar Loss: The Poker Virus Scandal
Finnish poker player and journalist Miikka Anttonen mentions Johnny Lodden in the 10th chapter of his autobiography, detailing a significant loss in an online poker game due to a virus.
In 2006, Johnny Lodden played under the nickname bad_ip in the Prima network, where he was one of the top earners. He was known for his high-stakes games and was a prominent figure in the online poker community. However, his success was abruptly halted when he lost his entire bankroll, several million dollars, to TheTerrorist due to a virus sent through MSN.
Johnny Lodden lost a significant bank of $465,451 to Fast_Freddie in a high-stakes online poker game. The identity of the player behind the nickname Fast_Freddie was later revealed to be Mohammad Kowsari. This loss came after Lodden had previously held the record for the largest online poker bank, winning $357,256 against Fuat Kan.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
