John K. Wins $3 Million Jackpot in Pai Gow Poker at MGM National Harbour
John K. won the largest jackpot in the history of the MGM National Harbour casino. He won a progressive jackpot of $3,040,750 playing Pai Gow Poker. Pai Gow Poker is a variant of Texas Hold'em where the player competes against the dealer. Each player and the dealer receive seven cards face up and must form two combinations. The Joker card in Pai Gow Poker can substitute for any other card to complete a combination. Pai Gow Poker does not have a rake or commission fee because players compete against the dealer.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
