Jake Schindler Wins 2022 WSOP $50k High Roller for $1.3 Million

Jake Schindler made a significant mark in the poker world by winning the 2022 WSOP $50k NLH High Roller event, earning a substantial $1,328,068 payout. This victory not only secured his first WSOP bracelet but also leapfrogged him to 12th spot in the all-time moneywinners list, surpassing Fedor Holz.

Schindler's win is particularly notable given the recent cheating allegations that have surrounded him. Despite these allegations, which he has not commented on, Schindler's performance at the WSOP has been impressive. Earlier in the week, he secured a runner-up spot in the $25k event, demonstrating his skill and resilience.

The $50k NLH High Roller event featured 101 entries, creating a prizepool of $4,835,375. The 3-day event saw 16 players making the money, with 6 players remaining by the end of day two. Notable players who secured a payday before exiting include Shaun Deeb, Mikita Badziakouski, Chance Kornuth, Dan Shak, and Dan Smith. On day 3, Andrew Lichtenberger was the first to fall, losing to Brek Schutten. Shannon Shorr ran his pocket 8s into Schindler’s 10s to exit in 4th place, while Punnat Punsri finished in 3rd place with a $593,481 payday. The heads-up battle between Schindler and Brek Schutten was decided by a cooler, with Schindler emerging victorious.
