Isildur1's NL50 Showdown: High Stakes and Big Blinds
Isildur1, the renowned Swedish poker player, recently engaged in a high-stakes session at the NL50 table on PokerStars. The session, which lasted approximately an hour, left spectators wondering about his final outcome, as the table's reports were not included in the PTR. However, most observers agreed that Isildur1 ended the session in the plus.
Isildur1 left the table with a stack of approximately 800 big blinds. His opponents included teddyT2o, ivarism, vit90, phaplap, salamandryko, BlueKent1, and blackisler. The session was characterized by a mix of strong-minus lovers, weak-minus grinders-rakebots, and a few tough players.
Isildur1 employed several typical moves during the session. These included stealing blinds with a raise of 100 bb or more, restalling 100 bb or more, overbetting on the turn with deep stacks, and rarely using open-fold on the flop. In one of the hands, Isildur1 showed Qs Ks (high card King) and teddyT2o showed 7s 8s (a straight, Four to Eight). In another hand, Isildur1 showed 6c 7c and won $18.86 ($9.36 net). In yet another hand, Isildur1 showed Tc Ac (a pair of Eights) and teddyT2o showed Ah Qh (a pair of Eights – Ace+Queen kicker). In the final notable hand, Isildur1 showed Ks 4s (a straight, Ace to Five) and salamandryko showed Ac 3c (a straight flush, Ace to Five).

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
