Isildur1's High-Stakes Poker Marathon in August 2012
In August 2012, Viktor Blom, known as Isildur1, engaged in high-stakes poker games, including Omaha Hi-Lo and 2-7 Triple Draw. Isildur1 lost his bankroll to Ruy 'PepperoniF' Chao after a series of negotiations.
Isildur1 played a long heads-up match against EireAbu, winning and losing large sums of money. He also played against top players such as Phil Galfond, Sam Trickett, Jens Kyllönen, Ilari Sahamies, and Theo Jorgensen in PLO $200/400.
Ilari Sahamies, who was struggling financially, asked multiple players for loans, including Isildur1, but was refused. Isildur1 also played a heads-up match against Chung Ho, broksi, and Lewisfriend in Omaha Hi-Lo. Despite multiple requests, Isildur1 refused to play No-Limit Hold'em with altiFC. In various games, including 2-7 Triple Draw, PLO, and Omaha Hi-Lo, Isildur1 lost a significant amount of money, ending the day with around $100,000 left on his account.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
