High Stakes Poker: Andrew Robl's Dominance and Jennifer Tilly's Misfortune

The final episodes of the 11th season of High Stakes Poker aired on PokerGo, featuring a star-studded lineup of players. Andrew Robl was the only professional player at the table, facing opponents like Rob Yong, Jennifer Tilly, Indonesian actor William Kokro, billionaire Stanley Tang, and experienced amateur Bob Bright.

Jean-Robert Bellande joined the game with a stack of $100k, but his presence did not change the dynamics significantly. Andrew Robl won a hand with a gutshot on the river, much to the delight of the producers. William Kokro, however, had a tough time and lost his stack to Jean-Robert Bellande. Rick Salomon replaced Jean-Robert Bellande at the table, and the game continued with high stakes and intense moments.

Jennifer Tilly had a particularly unlucky hand against Rob Yong, misplaying her cards and losing the pot. Stanley Tang played aggressively, winning a hand against Jennifer Tilly's aces. Bob Bright made a correct fold with a set of queens against Rick Salomon, showcasing his strategic play. Fara Gálfonde started her session with an unsuccessful bluff, losing her stack. Jennifer Tilly and Matt Berkey played a small 5-bet pot, with Tilly ultimately winning. Matt Berkey lost a hand with aces on the turn, having no outs. Jennifer Tilly won a hand against Matt Berkey with a river out. Fara Gálfonde and Rob Yong played a 3-bet pot with a made hand on the flop. In the end, Jennifer Tilly lost another stack to Rick Salomon after a preflop all-in, highlighting the unpredictable nature of high-stakes poker.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
