harrington25: Poker Pro on High Stakes, Bankroll Management, and Table Selection
Jared Bleznick, known as harrington25, started his poker career in college, playing on Bodog, and initially earned a few thousand dollars per week in SnG. In 2009, Bleznick's earnings were $60,000, but by 2010, he had earned over two million dollars. He decided to dedicate his life to poker after his first 6-7 months of playing, even when he was losing.
Bleznick believes that managing bankroll is more important than poker skills. He prefers playing PLO with a cap because it requires less skill and simpler decisions. He avoids playing against the best players and prefers to choose his tables carefully. Bleznick does not use poker tracking software like PokerTracker or HoldemManager. He started playing the highest limits in March and has been consistently playing there since.
Bleznick played in Bobby's Room at $500/$1,000 stakes with a minimum buy-in of $70,000. He prefers playing with a capped stack of 40BB because it involves less risk and simpler decisions.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
