Poker Pro Gus Hansen Loses Millions in Online Games
Gus Hansen, a renowned poker player, has had a rough year in online games. According to highstakesdb.com, from April 1 to August 12, 2009, Hansen lost $4.99 million on Full Tilt. This loss came despite a strong start to the year, where he earned over $3.2 million in the first three months.
Hansen's misfortune didn't stop at online poker. He also lost $900,000 on a bet on Rafael Nadal at the French Open. This loss was reported earlier by GipsyTeam.
Hansen is not alone in his recent struggles. Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelo has also faced significant losses, totaling around $2.75 million in the past few months. Both players have a history of remarkable comebacks, so it remains to be seen how they will bounce back from these setbacks.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
