Gus Hansen Accuses SallyWoo of Cheating in High-Stakes Poker Game
In January, HSDB published the top 12 most successful poker players of the previous year, including five players with closed statistics. Among the players with open statistics are Gus Hansen and Victor Bloom, known for their high-stakes games.
Gus Hansen accused SallyWoo of dishonest play, specifically mentioning a situation where SallyWoo allegedly closed a table to gain an advantage. SallyWoo denied the accusations, stating that the table was not closed by him and that he had two tables open all day. Hansen suggested that SallyWoo should return $4,000 based on advice from a friend. SallyWoo mentioned that he has been playing online poker for 12 years and has a clean reputation.
Hansen accused SallyWoo of using a computer program to cheat in Omaha 8. SallyWoo denied having any cheating software and offered to provide chat logs to prove his innocence. Hansen lost $1,161,939 in high-stakes games since the beginning of the year, with significant losses in 6-max PLO and 2-7 games. Sebastian "taktloss47" Rutenberg was a frequent opponent of Hansen in 2-7 games, with Hansen often going on sitout due to disconnections.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
