GipsyTeam's Fantasy Poker Draft: Who's Leading the Pack?
The GipsyTeam has organized a fantasy poker draft with a $1,500 buy-in, mirroring the rules of Daniel Negreanu's $25,000 draft. The draft, which excludes online tournaments, aims to prepare participants for the upcoming American draft in Aria.
Ilya Gorodecky's team is leading after 20 tournaments. Gorodecky's strategy included selecting strong players like Jason Mercier and Stephen Chidwick, with the plan to secure additional points with underrated players. Key players in his team include Shon Deeb, Erik Lindgren, Josh Arie, and Richard Ashby, with Erik Wasserson as a potential wildcard.
Konstantin Puchkov's team is in second place, with notable players including Li and Lichtenberger, who have contributed significantly to the team's score. Vyacheslav 'Amke' Zhukov's team is in third place, featuring players like Phil Galfond and Robert Mizrahi. The team of Mikle+Mайки, including Vanessa Selbst and Jens Lakemeier, is also performing well. Paul Volpe's team, led by holden1989, is also in contention, with notable players including Darren Elias and Brian Tait.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
