GG Poker Network Introduces Regional Commission Differences
The rumors about the upcoming reform of MTT in PokerOK began circulating in mid-autumn. Alexey Fellini mentioned on a stream that the rake in tournaments will soon differ in different windows of the network. Ivan Bryksin, the presumed head of PokerOK, promised that everything would be ready by mid-December.
Alexey Borovkov was the first to notice changes in the lobby, posting two screenshots of the Bounty King tournament for $320 from Natural8 and PokerOK. The commission Loyalty & Promotions Fee for Asian players remained at 1%, while for Russian-speaking players it increased to 3%. Fedya Lorem showed how payouts differ in the same tournament in the windows of GGPoker and PokerOK. The additional commission is taken from the total prize pool, including the bounty, but the payouts for knockouts have not changed.
The reform led to the complete cancellation of dealings in tournaments. Pads commented on the situation, noting that such cases of prize cuts are unprecedented. Alexey Borovkov mentioned that the difference and impact are greater than it seems. Fedor Truncev noted that the changes will negatively affect weak plus regs and amateurs. Gleb Tremzin mentioned that similar things already exist in some rooms. Andrey Streltsov noted that the poker market is extremely efficient and has punished such mistakes in the past.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
