GG Poker Cheating Scandal: MoneyTaker69's Unusual Win Rate Raises Concerns
In late December, a suspicious account, MoneyTaker69, appeared on GG Poker with unusual playing patterns. The account played 8,900 hands in cash games with a win rate of 90bb/100 and a VPIP of 53%.
MoneyTaker69 also won $47,586 in a $150 tournament, playing in a very volatile style that raised suspicions. GG Poker is aware of the situation and promises to take measures. The community is demanding transparency and action from GG Poker.
GG Poker released an official statement confirming that MoneyTaker69 cheated by modifying his client to see hand equity. The platform banned the cheater and confiscated $29,795 from him. Edi Harari claimed he could see all players' cards with a 5-second delay and warned GG Poker about the vulnerability. He criticized GG Poker's response, stating that the cheater likely had accomplices still active. Several other suspicious accounts with high win rates were found on GG Poker. Some anomalous win rates were explained by chip dumping, which GG Poker is not addressing. The community is awaiting a response from GG Poker representatives, including Daniel Negreanu and Jason Koon.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
