Full Tilt Poker Updates and Zynga's Acquisition of PokerTableRatings
Full Tilt Poker has updated its client to allow users to create private tournaments. The new Full Tilt Poker client allows users to create private tournaments with customizable buy-ins, blind levels, and starting stacks. Users can create tournaments through the 'Requests' menu, with options for all games and tournament types, including cashout, shootout, rebuy, and rush. Buy-ins range from $1+0.10 to $1,000+60, and the speed of blind levels and starting stacks can also be adjusted. Tournaments can even be made regular, with the ability to create a series of up to five tournaments before needing to organize a new one.
Full Tilt Poker has introduced a new feature allowing users to purchase tickets to cash games using FTP points. These tickets are sold in the FTP Store and Iron Man Store, and their cost can vary. For example, if a $100 ticket is used to enter a $25 table and wins an additional $25, the ticket value increases to $125. Each ticket has a maximum value, and any excess is transferred to the player's account. Tickets also have a minimum threshold; if a player exits a table with less than the minimum, the ticket is voided, and the remaining amount is added to the player's account. The expiration date of each ticket is displayed in the 'View Tickets' menu under 'Cashier'.
The lobby of Full Tilt Poker has been redesigned to simplify access to favorite options and settings. The main menu has been reorganized to make it more user-friendly and logical. Special attention was given to table appearance settings and bet regulators, allowing users to fix their size as a percentage of the pot, separately for pre-flop and post-flop. The upper limit for no-limit games is set at 150%. Other changes include the ability to request a personal statement from FullTilt, with all parameters adjustable through the 'Requests' menu. Bounties for professionals in multi-tournaments have been reduced to $50. The run-it-twice feature has been added to rush poker, currently available on limits of $1/$2 and higher.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
