Filipp Khavin Secures Second PokerGO Cup Victory, Leads Series
Filipp Khavin won PokerGO Cup Event #8, earning $210,000 and 210 PGT points. Khavin's victory in event no. 8 was his second win of the series, following his win in event no. 2. Khavin outlasted a 70-player field in the $10,300 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. His win positions him within the top 70 in the yearlong POY race presented by CoinPoker.
A total of 10 players earned a share of the $700,000 prize pool in this tournament. Darren Elias held the chip lead going into his third consecutive final table and fourth cash of the series. Jeremy Becker went out in sixth place after being reduced to less than two big blinds. Nicholas Seward has now made three final tables at this series, helping propel him to second in the POY standings.
Khavin now boasts nearly $2.8 million in career cashes after this win. Grise’s $136,500 payday was also a personal best.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
