Fedor Holz Reveals $1.5M Loss in 2021 Online Poker
German poker professional Fedor Holz revealed that he lost $1,500,000 playing online poker in 2021. Holz sold half of his action, so he is only down $700,000 playing with his own money. Holz played only 500 online tournaments in 2021, which is a small sample compared to the 5000 online tournaments he played in 2016. Holz made $2,000,000 by playing events with an average buy-in of $3,500 in 2020.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
