FanDuel Gives $1 Million to Maryland HBCUs for Student Support
FanDuel, a leading US business under Flutter Entertainment, has announced a $1 million donation to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to support students at Maryland's four Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The donation will help students with technology, housing, food security, tuition, and other education-related expenses.
The four HBCUs set to benefit from this donation are Morgan State University, Bowie State University, Coppin State University, and University of Maryland-Eastern Shore. As part of the partnership, FanDuel will create a track for students from these schools to join its annual summer internship program at the company's headquarters in New York.
The donation was announced at the FanDuel Sportsbook at Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, MD, with former Washington Commanders wide receiver, Santana Moss, along with UNCF and FanDuel executives, taking part in the ceremony. This marks FanDuel's second donation to UNCF, the first being in February 2021, which supported students at Virginia's five HBCUs.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
