Exeter Care Home Manager Admits to Stealing £30,000 from Residents
A former care home manager in Exeter, UK, has admitted to stealing £30,000 from two residents between January 2023 and September 2024. The man, who worked at the care home for nearly two decades and was most recently manager of the establishment, stole from two residents.
The former manager turned himself in to the police and admitted to two counts of fraud by abuse of position. He sold his home to pay back the stolen money and described his actions as 'completely abhorrent,' adding that he lost everything.
The man was sentenced to 12 months suspended, 25 days of rehabilitation, and 120 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to undergo rehabilitation and complete unpaid work.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
