Evolution Gaming will pay £4.75 million in settlement with UKGC
Evolution Gaming agreed to a settlement with the UKGC
Evolution Gaming agreed to pay £4.75 million to settle an investigation with the UK Gambling Commission.
The UKGC investigation, launched in December 2024, lasted 18 months and found that Evolution's live casino content was offered by two operators on six websites targeting British customers without the required UKGC licence.
- As part of the settlement, Evolution immediately terminated its commercial partnerships with the operators that were providing its games to unlicensed sites in the UK.
- Evolution also intensified its efforts across Europe to ensure partner operators are not offering its games illegally, aiming to avoid similar regulatory issues.
Evolution CEO Martin Carlesund stated that the company does not want traffic from unlicensed operators and will act quickly to address any such situation, welcoming the conclusion of the review.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
