Evolution Gaming Walks Away from Galaxy Gaming Acquisition
Evolution Gaming has withdrawn from its planned acquisition of Galaxy Gaming. The deal, which was set to be completed by July 17, 2026, at the latest, fell through due to failure to obtain the necessary permits. Evolution Gaming will pay a $5.2m fee to Galaxy Gaming.
Galaxy Gaming has achieved strong commercial growth over the past two years. The companies remain on good terms and will continue to collaborate on a variety of agreements, both existing ones and new ones that they may sign moving forward.
Evolution Gaming CEO Martin Carlesund noted that "The outcome has no material impact on our existing business, our US operations, or our long-term ambitions."

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
