Poker Pro Enlight Talks Burnout, Dispersion, and Negreanu's Chances
Enlight, a professional poker player, has taken a break from the game due to burnout. In an interview, he discussed his recent struggles with the game, including the challenges of dispersion and the chances of Daniel Negreanu.
Enlight has been playing poker for six years, but recently he has felt a strong dislike for the game. He mentioned that he has been playing around 250 hours per month for the past two years, including theory and practice. This intense schedule has led to burnout, and he has taken a break to recharge.
Enlight has not set monetary goals but estimates his expected value (EV). He has played around 1 million hands out of his goal of 1.5 million hands on NL1k+. Despite his efforts, he has not achieved his goals and feels a significant lack of motivation. He also mentioned that he has played tournaments, including the EPT Main Event, and has a small profit this year. However, he feels that his performance in tournaments has been disappointing.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
