Eliot Hudon Wins WPT World Championship for $4.1 Million
Eliot Hudon made history by winning the WPT World Championship and $4,136,000. The tournament had a record-breaking field of almost 3,000 entries and a $10k buy-in with a $15 million guarantee. The prizepool topped out at $29,008,000, making it the biggest-ever WPT prizepool and the biggest Las Vegas has ever seen outside of the WSOP.
The final table of six was set, and everyone had secured a minimum $1million payday. England’s Benny Glaser had a commanding chip lead at the start, but it lasted only four hands. Hudon defeated Benny Glaser heads-up to win the WPT World Championship. Hudon's win earns him a $10,400 entry into next year's WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
