Eli Elezra Wins US Poker Open Event 6 with Daniel Negreanu in 3rd
Poker legend Eli Elezra won the $183,600 top prize in event 6 of the US Poker Open. The tournament featured 68 entries and included rounds of No Limit Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, PLO, Limit Omaha hi-lo, Razz, Stud, Stud hi-lo, and Limit 2-7 triple draw. Daniel Negreanu finished 3rd in the $10k 8-Game tournament.
Coming into the final table on day two, David “ODB” Baker held the chip lead, but he would be first to fall as his pocket aces ran into Steve Zolotow’s suited big slick. Steve Zolotow hit running hearts with his suited big slick, eliminating David “ODB” Baker.
Eli Elezra finished Daniel Negreanu in a PLO hand with a rivered queen with a better two pair. Heads-up saw Eli Elezra grind Steve Zolotow down, a Stud Hi-Lo hand ending the duel when Eli Elezra paired his seven on sixth street and held on for the win. Eli Elezra earned enough Championship points to launch him to 7th on the Golden Eagle leaderboard race.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
